Ah yes, the Hokka Howl. :-) I've seen a few videos of them. They seem to have a unique vocalization style.

Ok, mystery solved. Toby is not actually a Shiba, he is a Hokka. It explains so many things: his excessive size, and his really wierd vocalizations! *lol*

Yeah, Toby does that too. And as a side note, Oskar the Akita got super excited by the squeaky noises from the ball!

Yes, Hokkaidos most certainly do talk!
We will be heading back up to Sapporo in few weeks for the snow festival! I have always wanted to go and this could me last chance for a few years. I am also hoping to get look at our pup as she should be about 3-weeks old by then.
