In Australia last night channel 2 showed Martin Clunes Man and Beast part 2 which had a segment on Hachi filmed at his statue in Tokyo.
During the discussion a woman turns up with a red Akita which was absolutely beautiful, Martin asked the woman did she believe her Akita is as loyal as Hachi. She replied yes, I had to laugh thinking mine loved me intensely but if someone opened a car door and offered them a ride I know exactly what they would do (see ya later).
