There was one young Hokkaido from a European kennel that was being re-homed. If the dog is still looking for a new home, it'll be a great opportunity to get one without the huge import expense.

I'm having a hard time visualizing how the pictured martingale is any more fixed than a regular martingale? You can clip the leash to the ring that's part of collar instead of in the middle of the chain loop.

NIPPO is pretty hands-off for most of the judging. There's the teeth-counting and height check, and for the boys, the family jewels check, but other than that, it's not hands-on like you see on tv for AKC shows.
