Puppy growth and weights

I've been recording the puppies' weight every day so I could make sure they're all gaining well. When they started eating solid food, three of the pups' weights started shooting up rapidly -- and Morticia's has slowed and become very erratic. I'm trying to make sure she gets as much as she wants to eat, but she just doesn't get any joie de vivre from solid food. I have started hand feeding her, which you can see had positive effect on the graph for the past two days. Is there anything else I can do to convince her solid food is awesome and she shouldn't be holding out for milk?

  • Wrap a shirt around moms tummy so she can't nurse?
  • She is still trending up tho, so that's good

Mix formula with the solid food and gradually reduce the formula amount?
  • I feed Meichan about 4% of her body weight since she's on raw, though she's also not gaining weight much. 31# at 24 weeks of age. I think we have a midget JA. I've also heard that some pups refuse to eat kibble when they're teething, but that should be around 4-5 months of age, yours are way too young.

You might have better luck w/ mushy food. Meichan was already weaned to eat kibble when she came home with us at 8 weeks, though to transition her to raw, I started mixing her kibble with a little of the raw dehydrated food (Addiction, THK), and instead of water I used goat milk moisten the mixture into a canned food consistency.

There's this brand of super expensive raw goat milk that our local pet stores carry, but I usually get my goat milk from Trader Joe's or WFM
