Ryuu (JA) Updated Photos [ 6/20/13 ]

edited June 2013 in Akita (秋田犬)
I would like to introduce Ryuu Go Kobun out of Kita & Aya. It's been almost 2 weeks since my wife and I picked him up in Morrow Bay from Ben Herrera. @ 9 1/2 weeks I am very pleased with him, he's 99% potty trained and I sincerely thank Ben for that. He's definately not shy or timid, he loves to greet children and adults. Mouthing so far is his biggest issue, he goes for the feet... Until I can get my settings configured on my Nikon you'll have to just put up with cell phone pictures sorry :(

Thanks Sean, he's growing fast. I took him into the vet on tuesday for his second distemper shot he weighed in at 23 lbs. He's going to be a big boy, lots of bone.

    He's adorable!
May I inquire about his right eye?
Is it just the way he's squinting or is his tear duct/eyelid okay?
  • edited June 2013
Could be the way he's squinting. He does have a very small stain underneath the right eye. He has already seen an eye specialist about the matter and it was ruled out as a cosmetic blemish nothing more. Edit: if you mean the first picture that was actually just a bad shot hehe
  • he is gorgeous. Same age as my puppy as well but in the uk our shots must be different cause we have been out and about a week now.

My vet would only give the shots every 4 weeks. I know some other vets will do it every 3 weeks. Depends on who you go to i guess.
  • We have them at 8 then 10 weeks here in the uk they are allowed out for walks the week after the second jab. Eris didn't get her first jab until 9 weeks so was running a week behind.

I have always walked him in the center of the sidewalk but have never let him venture onto someones grass/dirt out of fear. How was Eris doing? Its been awhile since you've shared new photos.

I took Eris out with me but carried her not easy because she is a beast. she went to training and sat in the back room with our trainers wife, so far nothing has bothered her, she did have a little stop and stare at a large truck but then when she realized it was nothing just carried on.

I put a few pictures up last week but she is always running about its so hard to get a picture that is not blurry. I'm a terrible photographer at the best of times. She is doing really well, she is cheeky and funny but a bit of a wrecking ball, my lovely graveled garden is a mess my plants are destroyed, the poor cat is seriously thinking of leaving home because Eris thinks elfin is her personal moving toy. More than once I have though what was I thinking lol. But then she does something cute or good and I melt again.
Like yesterday at the vets, number of dogs barking and been unruly, owners either not bothering or not been able to control them and my puppy is sat with her sister looking at me waiting. We had more than one comment about how well behaved my dogs are. it made me so proud of them both, that even at 13 weeks with only a small daily amount of training she is already well balanced well behaved girl when out.
