Australia Votes To Split

Just got this in my inbox:

They are also inquiring about starting a branch. The good news keeps on coming.

  • Awesome news
  • Yeah, I was contacted about this by a girl trying to start her own kennel in Australia. She is definitely interested in AKIHO and forming a breed club of some sort in their country.

    Yay for the Aussies!

The CKC doesn't even acknowledge the JA (let alone the split).
I'm sure it'll be a few years before that gets moving along. Unfortunately, there are few people here with JA's and there are a LOT of people with AA's.

I'm sure that once all the kennel clubs all switch over, the CKC will do that too. I would LOVE to start AKIHO Canada, that would be a first step :)
  • You don't need a split to start AKIHO Canada branch. You just need enough people and enough dogs to convince AKIHO to form a new branch.
  • This is Clare's work. I'm hoping to receive one of her first litter dogs.

  • CKC will go when AKC goes which will be someday but not now.

I read on the UKC Facebook page that CKC was putting pressure on judges to not do UKC shows. Once people start showing UKC with the JA then I think you'll see change.

  • Yay! Great news! I do want the AKC to go, myself.
