Bump for this, considering we're going to be having a large influx of Hokkaido in the next 9 months. Hokka peeps should bookmark this, but we'll have it on HokkaidoKen.com as well :)
@Kitsusi You'll have a bunch of fellow NKF people with Hokka to talk Hokka stuff with soon haha :D

Just curious to know how hard it would be to add location to the database (i.e. country/state/province)? Or if that is even information that anyone other than myself would find interesting... :)

I think that db does have country, but I know HANA is compiling a small record for North American dogs (I think it's very helpful!)

    Hi everyone !

It makes a long time that I don't come here (because a lot of things changed in my life...) So, first, sorry for my english. And Krisztina encourage me to participate to HANA.

I put online the Hokkaido Ken Database. I hope it can help everyone for breeding this wonderfull breed.

Most of the european breeders put their Hokkaido data on the Database. We worked hard to find most of the early dogs comming here (about 30 years ago). Things were differents at this early time : no Internet and very few contacts with Japan.

I hope HANA can do great things with Hokkaido ken.

This breed is so wonderful... and is a very important part of my life for 7 years now.

Hi Sarako. Thank you very much for making the database! It'll definitely be handy for anyone wanting to see where Hokkaido Ken are in the world. Your english is good by the way! Don't worry about it. We're definitely planning to do some great things for the breed and for members. Maybe you'll be be able to come over to the US some time for a future event ;)

I'm pretty sure that I have @thegela's pedigree for Yezo and she has Genko's lol. So as soon as we meet up and swap, then we can get them in here

Does anyone keep in touch with @Kitsusi by the way? Maybe @Krisz talks to her? :)

Does anyone else have the problem with the Database where the popup box for images doesn't load right? For me no matter what browser I use it pops up so small that I can't see or add any images. And I want to add a picture of Meitou. :(

Who would you say are the active breeders in Europe (besides Krisztina - Idataki kennel)?

@ayk I'm not positive since I haven't really kept track recently, but maybe...

    Kyuden Kitsune, in France: http://kyuden-kitsune.chiens-de-france.com/hokkaido.html / https://www.facebook.com/hokkaidokenfrance

Vuorenvarman Kennel in Finland (?): http://www.vuorenvarmanakitat.ota.fi/

    Hakugetsu in Poland: http://hokkaido.pl/

I think there is a kennel in Italy, but I don't remember the name? I'm sure there are others. I'm sure @Kitsusi and @Krisz would know better. ;)

Adding the photos doesn't work for me in Firefox, either. I've tried both browsers, lol.

    @Kitsusi,

I tried to look up dogs by their registration number, but the search function doesn't seem to be able find any dogs by that criteria.

Would it be possible to have the database searchable by registration #?
