Beautiful, rare Brindle Jindo (young female) for adoption!

edited November 2012 in Other Breeds
Beautiful Cocoa is a VERY rare brindle Jindo. We'd estimate around 2 years old. She currently weighs around 44lbs, having put on a few pounds since leaving the shelter (we rescued her from one of the shelters in Los Angeles, CA) - she's now pretty much at a perfect weight.

She's a typical shy Jindo girl when you meet her, (and if she doesn't know you, she might grumble until she's sure you're good!), but given the chance to trust her humans, she is VERY sweet and loving, and will kiss and kiss and kiss.

She is very clean and when taken out for walks, will 'evacuate' entirely, finishing off with a very elegant scrape backwards!
Cocoa needs some leash training as she is very wiggly on leash, but is responding well to training. She knows to sit and will take treats very gently from your fingers.

She shows no food aggression with people at all and is very accepting of touch even whilst she eats.

Once Cocoa's guard is down, she is such a sweetheart, rolling over for belly rubs and play-bowing!

Cocoa is not a great fan of car travel yet, but is definitely improving and just needs a little boost into the front passenger seat where she will sit in the foot well, or curl up on the seat. If there's a passenger there too that she knows, she will rest on them, and probably lick their hands frequently with a big smile on her face!

Cocoa is a waggy-tailed, happy girl, who just needs some revision of basic training.

Initially when she meets other dogs whilst on leash, she growls, but is very responsive to correction and will be able to do well with other dogs provided introductions are slow and sensible. She'd do great too as an only dog in the home, but beware, she loves affection and cuddles!!! She is such a playful, energetic, happy young girl!

Can you resist that smile?! If you're interested in adopting Cocoa, contact us now! She's adorable! She's currently in a foster home in Northern Nevada, but if you're elsewhere, travel may be arranged.
