New Japanese Movie

So TBS is airing a special this Sunday based on a true story about a team of Japanese researchers and their Karafuto Ken sled dogs. It's a remake, and will star Takuya Kimura among others. Should be good, but I don't even have a TV anymore, and even if I did, TV broadcasts here are digital and scrambled now, so wouldn't be able to make copies...

Haven't been able to find out what type of dogs they used in the film.

    Nice I still watch the original that I have on VHS. Wish i could see the new one here, I'm gonna have to get my Dad to record it or some thing.

    Wasn't that movie "8 Below" loosely based off the same story?

    I think so, at least based on what I've read. I haven't seen 8 Below yet... got the Antarctica/Nankyoku monogatari from the 1980s queued for review, but it's going to take a while to get to...

    Thanks for sharing! Always keeping my eyes out for dog films. Even if I might never get to see them...
