Child locks for the fridge?

edited February 2008 in Products & DIY

Hi guys!

So, we've just realized that we're going to need child-locks for the under-the-sink cabinet where we keep all our detergents.

However, have you guys resorted to using child-locks for the fridge and freezer too? The (namelessSealed) Akita might start trying to open it for snacks when he grows up a bit...

Sorry if this is a very basic question. I am still not quite sure about the implications of a large dog in this apartment so I'm trying to dog/cat proof as well as I can.Embarassed

Are they easy to open?  If not I think it may just be an added hassle for you.  Ours have a tight seal and there is no way an animal could open them.  My girls have never opened the cabinets but that is a good idea.

With the exception of the counter tops Hilo has never really shown much interest in cabinets and stuff.. but if needed a simple rubber band around the handles of the cabinets would stop him.
