What's your favorite breed(s) of dogs? (other that the nihon-ken lol)
I must say, other than the Shikoku, I really like the Beauceron!

    yo, Ovcharka Anderson- i got some email saying domains with the suffix .CO are "now available" i thought of you because CO to me now means Caucasian Ovcharka, whatever the interwebs say otherwise...

    I am pining for my St Bernard pal, Brandy, lately. What a nice dog- drooly!- but a solid, responsive, steady, easygoing, big snow dog...I have read they come in brindle, too, but havent seen any...

    Oooh... A brindle St. Bernard... I HAVE to see that!

    As to an answer to the question... Not sure... I am thinking maybe some type of Shepherd... Malinois, Shiloh Shepherd, Belgian Shepherd... Something along the lines of that. :)

    I think the universe is trying to tell me I'm supposed to own a Vizsla....

    A few weeks ago I emailed the national vizsla club for breeder referrals in my area. I want to meet some breeders and some dogs to get a feeling if they are right for my situation. I got a great response from her a day or two later. After that I went up to NJ to visit a friend and my family and was walking down the street in my parents small home town when I saw...a Vizsla. I did the crazy dog person thing and chased the women down and started chatting with her. After talking for a few minutes we collectively realized that she was the women I had been emailing about breeder referral! After talking a little more, I discovered that an hour from my house there's the club's southeast regional referral representative who is also an accomplished gun dog trainer and field trial participant. Sometimes when the universe talks to you, it's impossible to ignore it.

    Doberman or Rottweiler for me! I grew up with a Black & Tan Dobie that was the best nanny a child could have.

    I do have to agree that Rottweilers are one of my favorites also. Our female rotti is super protective of my family and I know she will protect my kids no matter what.

    My Rott's would have died for me. Especially Bear. He would have protected me against anything. Man I miss that dog. And he was great with my Godchildren. Always let them beat up on him, and ride on his back.

    My other favorite would be german shepherd, but closely followed by the KBD
